Welcome to the United States military records room. We're in the progress of cataloging addresses, online and offline records for each branch of the service. All records will be displayed with both the year of service and ? clearly identified, and links to official government web sites are included where available.

Founded on June 14, 1775, when the Continental Congress authorized enlistment of riflemen to serve the United Colonies for one year.

The Continental Navy was established during the War of Independence by the Continental Congress on 13 October 1775.

Air Force
In 1947 the U.S. Air Force entered a new era in which airpower became firmly established as a major element of the nation's defense.

Marine Corps
On 10 November 1775 the Continental Marines was established, marking the birth date of the United States Marine Corps.

Coast Guard
The Life-Saving Service and Revenue Cutter Service were combined on January 28, 1915 to form the Coast Guard.
